Did a couple of other jobs too and finally got to close one more down, today I even had a job to do and have to quote a remote tape drive (which is going to be expensive so I might go the embedded Linux server route and add a SATA Tape drive to it ).

Listening to Slayradio and wishing I hadn’t drunk so much alcohol today as my nose is running like a tap

Part of the appeal of the site was that I was doing something new and staying “in touch” with my roots as it were.

It’s become clear that everyone has moved on and it’s time for me to accept that reliving stuff over and over isn’t going to change how I feel, so.. I’m thinking of putting the bog out to pastures new and maybe just updating it when something of value/interest occurs. Which in truth is not that often these days

Besides I’m becoming bored of moaning online all the damn time, what happened to all the damn FUN!!

So don’t panic I’m just busy trying to get my head around the fact that no one thing is going to make me magically happy I just have to work at it.

Oh and as said I will still update this from time to time anyway

To recap.. Went to Norway after spending a week driving about the UK and looking at big anchors.

Was promoted in Norway and spent a week on-board a boat feeling Ill (caught Flu on the plane over), arguing with Angel and generally feeling sorry for myself, finally got into UK (sailed with boat, yo ho etc) and did a lot of work on the vessel, which was problematic (that’s me being polite).

Had enough when it became apparent things were being withheld and I was being played for a mug.. Announced I really wasn’t happy and asked to be demoted back down.. Got told by everyone that I would be demoted (in pay) and still do the same job.. Sacked someone and then came home (on average I would say worst trip ever).

Came home and still had calls for a week and felt like crap ..

Phoned on Friday and said I would go back as the “promoted” after finding out everything else that had gone wrong.. Oh my..

Finally managed to get the Server from months ago migrated to the new hardware, still Windows 2000 SBS but at least its now on the new hardware!!

Going to stress test this for another month and then go for the upgrade to Win 2003 SBS Premium, keep your fingers and toes crossed.

Been feeling generally very down in the dumps for the last couple of months, not done any fishing etc.. Read a few more Dray Prescot books (very good by the way) and well.. got by..

Spent a couple of hours changing a few colours on a website and then tried to get all my other gear worked out (reduced some more).. Not looking forward to this coming week but will see how things go.

Downloaded some tabs for computer and console music earlier, which was pretty cool.. just need to find the time.. More to the point need to find the energy and feeling.. Losing interest in a lot of things again… Also starting to get the “get another job” feeling

Seems I will be there for a couple of weeks while it is put together and tested in the factory. Hmm..

Might still have to go over to Norway sometime next week too.

Oh well..

Was pretty windy in the evening too.. probably lucky came back from fishing.. hehe..

Oh and watched the A-Team which was pretty amusing I guess..

I think I may need to spend a couple of evening sessions here and see how I get on with them.. at least I can cut down on stuff if just overnight, probably try and get a light weight Bivvy too..

Arrived at the lake had a wander around and spotted someone fishing the other end.. Walked up had a chat for 20 mins or so the went back and setup.. Didn’t have any luck but did get some bait delivered (result).

Read a bit of a book and sat thinking I should have gone when it wasn’t quiet as hot

Get no real idea and it all ends up being a little surreal to say the least.. Oh well..

Going fishing tomorrow for a couple of days.. Need to get away from everything as I’m starting to get tense
