Did I mention firststepahead ?

So today I finally get his address and send back the faulty USB DVB device.. Now this only cost £15 so by now I must have spent about another 50-60 quid on it lol.. But I’m fed up with people taking me for a mug these days and make a point of bringing anyone that annoys me to justice (even if it takes me months and costs me a bit it’s worth the feeling).. Anyway I have the address and Angel posts off the USB DVB along with a huge amount of paper work and my business card (in case they need IT help getting it to work ROFL) special delivery.

Since opening a PayPal dispute they seem much more inclined to actually answer my questions, before they had started to ignore them always bypassing the “What is your address?” question with a “Have you tried rubbing Marmite on your nipples?” .. Hmm

Paid for the Memory and Xmas Prezzie so they should turn up tomorrow. Also had my arm removed and a pint of bloody taken for “testing”.. Seemed red enough to me?.. Perhaps someone is looking for a nice shade of crimson for the bathroom ceiling?

UPDATE – 12/06/08

It seems good old firststepahead has a lot of clients who are coming here asking for his address, firstly I don’t think it would be right to just give it over and secondly check your first email from him regarding *payment* you might find something in there of help.

Lastly a quick check finds he runs a VAT registered business and has a website, although it seems to be lacking an address (Trading Standards might be interested in that one).

Oh and he has actually made a comment on here which I will add shortly (I’m just giving him some time to make some changes before I submit it, along with my response).

    If anyone is having problems with FirstStepAhead please email me with the reason why I should send you his address. No offence but he did sort out the issue with me, although it took months, so keep going through eBay (DO NOT EMAIL DIRECT USE THE EBAY CONTACT SELLER LINK ON THE ITEM). If you still want the address email me with the Item Number and some of the details.

    I ordered a freeview dongle off firststepahead,and paid for on 18/5/08 via pay pal .money taken out of my account but still no usb tv dongle delivered to my address.
    sent e/mail but no reply.
    not a happy bunny.

    Hi there, i am firststepahead and never do things or IGNORE emails intentionally, simply if anyone has a problem then please just send us an email and we will send a returns form. Yes we have some items coming back to us but we do reply to every email we get daily and work very hard to do so – CAN YOU PLEASE ensure you actually email us through ebay NOT through private email. And CHECK ebay messages as stated by ebays rules

    Not on ebay to cause any problems so am suprised when i saw this, the problem we have is when we used to just send our address, people used to send items back with no information included, for example a TV tuner would just turn up? We would have no idea who this was from, and no what we do is send a returns form which the customers has to include – this solves the problem when customers actually include it with the returned item

    So PLEASE as asked just email us through ebay explaining the problem and we will send the returns form, JUST please remember check BOTH your ebay messages and email address registered with ebay.

    Note to CHAIN, please do not just hand out peoples addresses, sorry you had problems but a little courtest would be appreciated, upset that you even say that on your email, is very unfair :(

    As you decided to leave a comment I thought I should reply to you personally, firstly take a minute to read my post and you will see I request that people use the eBay system to contact you, I have NEVER given out your details.

    Secondly if you have a little read through the Blog you will notice I have worked in the IT industry in various fields for some years (even in the electronics and microelectronics industry too), when I had problems with the USB DTVB stick you gave me the right run around for something that was pretty much worth sod all.. That’s why you ended up with a nice little section dedicated to you (well done).

    I also have nice little emails where you COMPLAIN about using the eBay system for contacting you, come on play the game.. Anyway I got sorted in the end so perhaps a little more time spent resolving problems with you Customers will go a long way towards stopping this.

    If you would care to change anything before I post it and this response let me know otherwise I will authorise the comment with this as a reply.

    I would however point out that it is MY PERSONAL blog not a sounding board for your complaints (by or against you).

    I TOO HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH FIRSTSTEPAHEAD, I RETURNED AN ITEM AS IT WAS SENT, NOT EVEN OFFERED A RETURN FORM. MY EMAILS STARTED THROUGH EBAY & THEN CAME THROUGH NORMAL EMAIL, WITHOUT THINKING I PRESSED THE REPLY BUTTON, WILL REMEMBER THIS IN FUTURE. I HAVE SENT APPROX 15 EMAILS IN A WEEK TO THEM, AND THEY HAVE ASKED FOR THE SAME INFO EACH TIME, AND ASKED ME TO’WORK WITH THEM’!! THE FAULTY ITEM IN QUESTION WAS SENT BACK AND ALL I WANTED WAS A REPLACEMENT – HOW HARD IS THAT! VERY WHEN IT COMES TO THEM!! I WAS A LUCKY ONE I FOUND THEIR ADDRESS TUCKED AWAY IN THEIR ADVERT.

    I FIND THEY ARE JUST PLAYING DIFFICULT, NOT JUST TO ME BUT TO EVERYONE, BY THE REMARKS I HAVE READ HER. I AM SO ANGRY THAT THEY HAVE HAD THEIR PAYMENT AND DONT SEEM TO BE IN ANY HURRY NOW TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND SEND OUT A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND ME!

    SHOUTING ISN’T HELPING ANYONE.. Ahem.. Yes he did the same to me and annoying though it is you have to use eBay to try and get it sorted, I know he reads this and gets very upset that Google shows up his complaints here, So I’m happy to let you vent but please remember I got stitched up too :(

    Chortle no problem I too used caps lock a lot when I wrote code etc many many moons ago but have since then become used to using a keyboard more efficiently (although I still bugger up hehe).

    NO NOT YET HAD MORE EMAILS THIS MORNING, ONE SAYING GOING TO SEND OUT REPLACEMENT TODAY JUST CONFIRM ADDRESS AGAIN!!!, (WHICH I TOLD THEM SATURDAY THAT HAD GONE THROUGH EBAY DISPUTE THINGY AND ASKED FOR REFUND) THEM HAD ANOTHER SAYING CANT SEND UNTILL THEY HAVE THE ONE I SENT BACK! 1ST I HAD HEARD RE THIS?? I SENT ROYAL MAIL DETAILS AT WEEKEND TO THEM, SO WHY IF IT HAD GONE TO ANOTHER ADDRESS OR NOT RECEIVED DID THEY NOT ASK FOR THIS INFO SOONER??

    MAY GO TO WATCHDOG YET!!

    Just to inform again to Chain, Beswick sent it back to an incorrect address for some reason we do not know, they they claimed through paypal and got a full refund. We have now got the police involved and paypal are on the case of locating Beswick to get this matter resolved, its not nice to be stolen from, the fact Beswick knew this as shown above

    “Has your problem been resolved yet?” Problems are resolved within minutes Chain like we told you last time, please ok we are doing our best here and you continue to be like this with us :(

    You sir are a complete idiot, do yourself and your customers a favour and spend a little more time looking after them, we will all be happy then.

    If you have proof that anything stated here is wrong or misleading by all means forward it to me and I will post it here so people can see both sides.

    Don’t expect too much from me though as I was one of the idiots who bought a product from you.

    As for the “Problems are resolved within minutes ” yes lets see 4 (weeks) x 7 (days) x 24 (hours) x 60 (minutes) = 40,320 minutes (and yes my problem was a tad longer than that wasn’t it).

    Police eh? lol.. whatever..

    One last thing, people tend to spend a lot of time complaining and very little saying nice things and patting people on the back, so anyone looking at my site should remember that I have had only a couple of complaints, I have a very biased opinion so you will have to forgive my responses ;)

    I too have fallen victim of firststepahead. Bought some skype phones off of him almost two months ago. I never received them and when i contacted the seller he tried to communicate with me outside ebay. I filed a dispute with paypal to protect my interests and the seller again tried to take this dispute off of paypal records by contacting me directly stating twice that they are here to help and all this garbage. Yesterday i saw this page and decided to stop communicating with the seller and raise this to a claim and guess what. The seller still tried to contact me outside paypal.
    Hope everything turns out ok and i get a full refund. I wonder why ebay still allows him to do business through them.

    I must thank Chain for his time spending in this blog, I was just about to make a purchase but now sure I will band this seller from my list. Sometimes not worth saving a pound or 2 on ebay, specially on NEW electronic items which seller always include 12 month warranty and problem never get solve after endless typing until your keyboard get busted which should claim from those seller :)

    note to pandreas21, I never contact seller outside ebay otherwise ebay will not have records. For refund, just contact ebay and paypal at the same time. Good powerseller should get anything issue resolve at once.

    Seems yet again more people are coming here and venting about problem with Firststepahead. By all means come along and vent your anger, but if you do get the problem resolved let everyone know too.

    Firststepahead – Please refrain from posting on here it is *not* a forum, besides I’m not the slightest interested when you finish a rather humble post and then try to make me out to be the bad guy.

    My personal opinion is that if you deal with Firststepahead be aware you *may* have problems.

    NOTE – Firststepahead will not be answering your questions on here, although you *may* get a response, who knows it might help you resolve that problem… But first try eBay (use the system and do not email direct) if that fails just go straight through to Paypal disputes and let them deal with it. In fairness they must be doing something right as they have a huge feedback rating and are still on eBay.

    Although I still think they are a complete idiot though :)

    please can anyone help me and give me firststepahead’s address as i have fallen victim to him aswell. He is ignoring my emails through ebay so i have just opened a dispute against him. I wish to return an item but I did not have a returns form and when asked him for one, he has not answered.

    hi, tracy again, just thought i’d update you, firststepahead has emailed me with a returns form with his address and asked me to be patient as he do not ignore emails, it just takes time answering them. I’ve emailed back informing him that once i receive a full refund then i will close the dispute. If any others are not satisfied then do as i have done because it seems to work.

    am frustrated about waiting for a month for my purchase to arrive, if ever its coming!! bought a usb tv dongle on the 7th of dec and am stil waiting on it on the 29th of dec.. isnt it high time i took it to the paypal disputes? calling on CHAIN and EVERYONE to help

    Best use eBay to return the item and raise a dispute with PayPal if nothing is resolved, to be fair I’m seeing less people complaining about issues so I think he must be trying to resolve them, try contacting him through eBay and let us all know how you get on.
